As a chemistry researcher and educator at the National University of Singapore (NUS), ranked as Asia's top university, Dr. Fung also holds a Certificate in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) for Professionals in Banking and Finance from the Singapore Management University (SMU).

Dr. Fung has co-edited two international books in the field of chemistry education, published by renowned publishers World Scientific and Elsevier. A committed volunteer, he is the founding President of NUS Career Guides, a student organization dedicated to offering career consultancy services to undergraduates, helping them prepare for their first job and internships.

Formerly serving as the Assistant Director of Education at a leading research institute within Asia's top university, Dr. Fung designed curricula aimed at enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving skills among lifelong learners. He regularly travels to Europe to manage professional relationships with institutions and universities worldwide, fostering sustainable interdisciplinary collaborations. He has given invited talks and seminars at Stanford, University of Cambridge, ETH Zurich, UPenn, Peking University and OECD in Boulogne-Billancourt.

Dr. Fung is a member of the YSEALI Professional Fellows Program, the ASEM-DUO Wallonia-Brussels Fellowship Programme, the Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) Scholars Award Program, and the CAS Future Leaders Program.
