National Chemistry Week (NCW) 2012 Illustrated Poem Contest Winners
Awesome Poems Express the Importance of Nano
Congratulations to the winners of the National Chemistry Week (NCW) 2012 Illustrated Poem Contest!
NCW is a community-based annual event that unites ACS local sections, businesses, schools, and individuals in communicating the importance of chemistry to our quality of life; this year's NCW took place October 21-27, 2012.
As part of the NCW 2012 celebration, students from grades K-12 were invited to share their interpretation of this year's theme in the form of illustrated poems, “Nanotechnology: The Smallest BIG Idea in Science!”
Winners at the local-section level qualified for the national contest; at the national level, first- and second-place prizes were awarded in four grade categories.
Thank you to all schools and local sections that participated!
