SCI Scholars Internship: Air Liquide

Location: TBD. Possible locations: Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia, Baton Rouge, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, and San Francisco
Preferred Course of Study: Chemical Engineering
Organizational Unit: Project Engineering, Field Engineering, or Plant Process Engneering
Internship Period: 10 weeks
Additional Support: Up to $700 reimbursement for travel expenses will be provided
- Current junior
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Minimum GPA of 3.5
The summer internship program is designed to introduce college students to Air Liquide and the industrial gas industry. Interns work in a specific area of Air Liquide to develop their knowledge and skills while making contacts with people at all levels of the company. Specific examples of engineering internships:
- Project Engineering – Assist experienced project engineers and/or managers in the execution of projects. Includes interactions with vendors and customers, troubleshooting installations of new equipment, cost estimating, and oversight of maintenance and operating personnel.
- Field Engineering – Provide engineering support to zone engineering teams responsible for the execution of efficiency and continuous improvement projects. Support major plant maintenance and installation of new equipment.
- Plant Process Engineering – Provide engineering support to the daily management and efficient operation of an Air Liquide production facility.
