Salary: $6,000

Additional Support:
$2,000 advanced for housing and relocation

Eligibility:

  • Current sophomore or junior
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5

Internship Description


General duties will include the following:       

  • Plant P&ID development-verification and updating (CAIROX – Pilot Plant)
  • Engineering library / Equipment File documentation – Document Management System
  • AFE documentation – Document Management System
  • AutoCAD drawings - organization / updating
  • Obsolete process pipe line identification
  • Process line / utility line / vessel identification and marking (CAIROX – Pilot Plant)
  • Plant equipment spare parts identification, validation and documentation
  • Project development and implementation for upgrades to plant equipment
  • Minor troubleshooting of issues in the plant
  • Development and implementation of Plant Hand Valve Numbering (number scheme, application of numbers, integration with P&IDs and operating procedures)
  • CAIROX Plant floor drain and tank overflow piping upgrades
  • Support development and implementation of Reliability Program (Cairox – Pilot Plant)

Physical Demands

Must have sufficient mobility to access all areas of the plant site in support of project work. This will involve climbing and descending ladders and stairways. Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle. Required to wear personal protective equipment in the plant environment, which may include a respirator or other specialized equipment.
