Internship Description

Process Engineers at Dow Corning provide engineering lab support for existing products, support scale-up of newly commercialized materials, and serve as unit operation experts for the Science and Technology (R&D) function.

Typical intern projects in this area focus on new or novel reactor design, reaction kinetics, waste/byproduct reduction, mixing/mass transfer studies, and/or separations. Supplemental activities may include computer simulation/modeling and prior art/intellectual property searches.

The focus of the internship is primarily on lab work, but some exposure to manufacturing environments may be provided.
