Location: Kingsport, TN
Preferred Course of Study: Chemical Engineering

Research, Laboratory, Product/Process Improvement, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, or Technical Service
Internship Period: 10-12 weeks
- Travel expenses reimbursed
- Subsidized furnished housing provided ($90 per week)
- Current junior
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Minimum GPA of 3.5
Chemical engineering interns will be given hands-on technical opportunities to build on prior work experiences and/or specific coursework. Interns will experience great independence working on engineering projects; however, a mentor will be assigned to assist the intern as needed. Eastman's Kingsport, TN, site is a large facility that provides many different experiences and professional networking opportunities for a student. Typically 100-125 interns/co-ops work at the Kingsport site during the summer, which allows for a variety of social networking. Eastman has a friendly, team-oriented company culture that is concerned about protecting the environment, the safety and health of their employees, and giving back to the community.
