2013 Heroes of Chemistry

DuPont - DuPont™ Rynaxypyr®

The American Chemical Society honors five scientists from DuPont for developing DuPont™ Rynaxypyr®, the first anthranilic diamide insect control product. This unique chemistry provides high efficacy against damaging pests, low-use rates and an excellent environmental profile, a breakthrough combination of attributes that helps farmers around the world produce higher quality and more abundant fresh fruits and vegetables to meet the needs of increasing consumer demands.

In this video, Daniel Cordova, John Freudenberger, George Lahm, Thomas Selby, and Thomas Stevenson of DuPont, were honored as Heroes of Chemistry in 2013 by the American Chemical Society for developing DuPont™ Rynaxypyr®.
