Study Abroad: High School Student/Teacher STEM Exchanges, Scholarships, and Fellowships in Brazil
High School Student/Teacher Exchange Programs
Applications to study in Brazil for an academic year or a semester are invited from U.S high schools students between the ages of 14-17 years who have completed the 9th grade with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Placement in a Brazilian high school, staying with a host family, international medical insurance are some of the inclusions in the fee and support detailed on the CIEE website. For the first 3 weeks of the stay, intensive Portuguese language training will be offered to get students ready for the semester. Language proficiency classes will be offered through the first semester.

This program is a short-term exchange opportunity for U.S and Brazil school administrators. Brazilian administrators visit their US partners in the fall and the U.S administrators travel to Brazil for a two week exchange in the following summer. Applicants should be U.S citizens, full time K-12 school administrators with a minimum of 3 years administrative experience and be able to host up to three administrative counterparts and a Portuguese interpreter. The programs are individualized through collaboration between the partners. This program is pending funding.
