Study Abroad: STEM Exchange Programs, Scholarships, and Fellowships in France


Diversity Abroad, in cooperation with AIFS offers ten 6-month scholarships annually to US undergraduates looking to complete studies internationally. Applicants must be U.S citizens or legal permanent residents who are full-time undergraduates at a university or community college based in the United States. They must be participating in a study abroad program offered by a DiversityAbroad.com partner organization.

Each semester, AIFS offers up to 10 one-semester scholarships to undergraduate minority students looking to complete studies internationally. Applicants must demonstrate high interest in community service activities.

Diversity Abroad cooperates with CAPA to offer 25 one-semester scholarships annually to students participating on a CAPA study abroad or intern abroad program. Applicants must be full-time undergraduates with a GPA of at least 2.5 and must be U.S citizens or legal permanent residents.

AIFS International Scholarship is offered to 40 undergraduates per year who study abroad on an AIFS program. Applicants must be full-time undergraduates with a GPA of at least a 3.0.

SIT matches grants to recipients of the US Federal Pell Grant funding when Pell Grants are being used toward SIT programs. Candidates must be full-time undergraduates pursuing the SIT France: Language, Community, and Social Change program, anintensive language program using language immersion to promote French fluency.

The Gilman Scholarship Program provides awards for recipients of the US Federal Pell Grant funding to participate in study abroad programs worldwide. It is open for all U.S citizen undergraduates in good academic standing who will be studying abroad for at least four weeks in one country. Programs going to more than one country are eligible if the student will be studying in one country for at least four consecutive weeks. The study abroad program must be eligible for credit by the student's accredited institution of higher education in the U.S.

The AUF’s Intensive Courses Program provides American undergraduates the opportunity to take a wide range of classes at the University of Avignon in France for 1 academic year. Candidates must have completed secondary studies.
