The Biological Research Centre (BRC)’s International Training Course is available for graduate students looking to pursue training and research projects overseas. Candidates are expected to arrange their own study visas. Candidates must be under 30 years of age at the time of applying.

The Hungarian Scholarship Board’s Semester/Partial Studies Program is a 3-10 month study abroad program available for undergraduates and graduate students pursuing degrees in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Medicine) fields. Candidates must have completed at least two semesters of study toward their degrees. Age limit for applicants is 30 years.

The Hungarian Scholarship Board’s Postgraduate Studies, Research Program is a 3-21 days or 1-10 months program available for post-graduate students looking to performs scientific research at foreign institutions. Age limit for applicants is 40 years.

The Hungarian Scholarship Board’s Full PhD Programme runs for 36 months and provides funding for students pursuing (or expecting to pursue) doctoral degrees in (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Medicine) fields looking to conduct research abroad. The program is only available to students proficient in Hungarian. Age limit for applicants is 35 years.

The Hungarian Scholarship Board’s Partial PhD studies Program is a 10-month program for students in pursuit of a PhD degree in their home country. Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD programme at an accredited higher education institution in their home country or in a foreign country (but not in Hungary) and complete a component of their studies in Hungary. Age limit is 35 years.

The Hungarian Scholarship Board’s Summer Courses Program is a 2-4 week study abroad program available for undergraduates and graduate students. Students may take only one course per session per program. Only courses published in the list of ‘Summer Courses’ on the HSB website can be selected. There is no age limit for applicants.

Graduate Student Exchange Program in Hungary

The Hungarian Scientific Research Fund (OTKA) Basic Research Program aims to support research in Hungary by young U.S. scientists. Candidates must have PhD degree and be employed by Hungarian research institutions.

The Fulbright Program US Students Program is awarded to 800 faculty, administrators and professionals annually, and offers them the opportunity to study, lecture, or perform graduate-level research abroad for a minimum of 3 months. Candidates must hold a PhD and must apply from home country.
