Programs in Portugal for Graduates

The Study Abroad 2014 program, developed in partnership with Portuguese universities, allows graduate students to study in Portugal for a period of 3 weeks or more, during which time the student collaborates with a professors from participanting Portuguese university toward a research project or investigation.

Key dates: Annual application deadlines: October 31th of the previous year for projects with a start date between January 1st and June 30th (results by December 31st of the previous year), and April 30th of the same year for projects with a start date between July 1st and December 31st (with results given by June 30th of the same year)


The Luso-American Foundation Research Grants in the USA Program is a 6-12 month internship program for researchers currently enrolled at American institutions and focusing in the areas of: natural and exact sciences, engineering and technologies, medical and health sciences, agricultural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Internships should focus on innovative scientific or technological subjects.
