Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program 

The Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program is designed for graduate students and advanced scientists looking to complete research projects abroad while teaching English as a Foreign Language. Program runs 6-12 months. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and must not (yet) have received a doctorate. Language proficiency required.

Fulbright U.S. Student Program 

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is open to students looking to conduct research abroad while teaching English as a foreign language. Program runs for 6-12 months. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and must have not (yet) received a doctorate. Language proficiency required.

Key Dates: Application deadline is October 2013 for 2013-14 program.


Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program

The Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program sends approximately 800 scholars and professionals per year abroad, where they lecture and/or conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold a Ph.D. or equivalent.

Agencies Involved: The Fulbright Program, United States Department of State, the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES)

Key Dates: Call for 2014-2015 competition will open on February 1, 2013.
