Programs in Turkey: Undergraduate
The Arit Summer Fellowship is a summer fellowship awarded to those looking to pursue study of the Turkish language at college-level in Turkey. Candidates attend classes for 20 hours per week. Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level study program, or be full-time faculty, and must be maintaining a minimum B average. Program runs for 1 academic year.

U.S undergraduate students can apply for the Boren Scholarships to learn a foreign language and study abroad (in any country outside of USA, Western Europe, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.) Applications can be made for a summer program (minimum 8 weeks; for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math- STEM students only), a semester or a full academic year. All students are expected to have a significant language component as part of their proposed study abroad. In exchange for the scholarship funding, selected candidates must agree to the NSEP Service Requirement.

The Arts + Sciences in Turkey program is geared toward undergraduates looking to enrich cultural understanding through coursework, excursions, and activities. Program credits can substantiate 24 undergraduate quarter hours for 6-month program, and 36 undergraduate quarter hours for 12-month program. Candidates must hold a GPA of 3.0 on a 5.0 point scale at the time of applying and be at junior standing or above.

The Yunus Emre Turkish Language Scholarship is awarded to students looking to study Turkish abroad. Candidates must be enrolled in a study program at the level for which they are applying to study in Turkey. Undergraduate applicants must be no older than 22 years old at the time of applying, graduate applicants must be no older than 31 years old at the time of applying, and post-doctoral applicants must be no older than 36 years old at the time of applying, and professional applicants must be no older than 46 years old at the time of applying.
