The Intern in Britain program is available for recent college graduates looking to intern in the UK. Candidates must be over 18 years of age. Program runs for a period of 6 months. Allow sufficient time for your application to be processed and to apply for a UK visa before you leave the US to start your internship.

AIFS Summer Institute is a program for those seeking careers in theatre to work on-site at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, next to professional theatre actors. The program focuses on the material and cultural aspects of early modern drama, and the architecture of the theatre. Program runs for up to 3 weeks. Program theme for summer 2014 session TBA.

The Arts + Sciences in the UK program is geared toward undergraduates looking to enrich cultural understanding through coursework, excursions, and activities at the University College in London, England. Program credits can substantiate 24 undergraduate quarter hours for 6-month program, and 36 undergraduate quarter hours for 12-month program. Candidates must hold a GPA of 3.0 on a 5.0 point scale at the time of applying and be at junior standing or above.

The Summer British Culture program is a study abroad program administered by CIEE allowing undergraduates from the US to study in the UK for a period of 3 weeks during the summer. The next program will take place from June 2-26, 2013. The focus of the program is communications and public health, and students will be provided a quick glance into social policy in the UK, and have access to experts in the field. Program credits substantiate 4.5 undergraduate per session quarter hours. Candidates must maintain a GPA of at least 2.75 on 5.0 scale.

The London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) awards grants for students in high school and undergraduate programs to travel to the forum for experience with science abroad. The next LIYSF will run July 23-August 6, 2014. Candidates must be between 17-22 years old.
