KICK-OFF CONCERT
Free concert, featuring Gin Blossoms

  • LOCATION:  Georgia Street between Illinois St. and Capitol Ave., Downtown Indianapolis

    Capitol Avenue will be closed starting at 10am on Friday, September 6th for the free concert.  Traffic that would normally go south on Capitol Avenue will be diverted to Meridian Street to go south.   Guests and valet will be able to drive South on Capitol from Louisiana Street to exit hotels.  IMPD Officers will be stationed at both locations on Illinois Street to help direct traffic.

Room Change

Laboratory Waste Management Workshop has moved from room 104 to room 107 at the Indiana Convention Center.

Road Closures

Information on road closures are available on the INDOT website www.SouthSplit.in.gov  to learn more. The site includes a map showing the areas that will be affected, a detour routes map, and a frequently asked questions document.

Traffic Alerts

On Thursday, Sept. 5, United Way of Central Indiana will sponsor Colts Go Blue for United Way on the south half of Monument Circle.  The community fair will include a pep rally for the first Colts regular season game and raise awareness of United Way of Central Indiana's annual campaign goal.  The south half of Monument Circle will be closed to traffic from 6 a.m. - 3 p.m.

On Friday, Sept. 6, the Indianapolis Colts will host the Kickoff Concert on Georgia Street and Capitol Avenue from 6 - 10 p.m. to celebrate the start of the 2013 NFL season.  The free event will feature live music, Bud Light Boardwalk beer garden, cheerleaders, alumni players, sponsor booths and Colts interactive games.  The following streets will be closed 10 a.m. - 1:30 a.m. for this event:
• Georgia Street between Illinois Street and Capitol Avenue
• Capitol Avenue between Maryland and South streets  

On Sunday, Sept. 8, Emmis Communications will host the Colts Tailgate Party on the west block of Georgia Street.  1070 The Fan will be onsite playing music, registering people to win game tickets, playing cornhole, etc.  Georgia Street between Illinois Street and Capitol Avenue will be closed to traffic from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. for this event. 

On Sunday, Sept. 8, Lucas Oil Stadium will be the site of the Indianapolis Colts game vs. the Oakland Raiders at 1 p.m.  South Street between Capitol Avenue and West Street will be closed approximately 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.
