High School Chemistry Day
The American Chemical Society is hosting a special High School Chemistry Day for teachers at the 246th ACS Spring National Meeting in Indianapolis, IN, on Sunday, September 8. Presentations will explore new methods of teaching, classroom tools, resources, activities on a range of topics. A special High School/College Interface Luncheon will provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and network.
Project SEED Student Poster Presentations
Project SEED students from the Indiana Local Section will be presenting their projects research at the poster presentation Sci-Mix event on Monday, September 9, from 8:00 -10:00 PM. The ACS Project SEED summer research program opens new doors for economically disadvantaged students to experience what it’s like to be a chemist.
ACS Committee on Professional Training Open Meeting
The ACS Committee on Professional Training will hold an open meeting on Sunday, September 8, 2013, from noon to 1:30pm in the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown Hotel. Discussion will focus on the proposed changes to the guidelines for ACS approval. Lunch will be provided.
