Presenting at the Meeting
Speakers should arrive in their presentation rooms at least 30 minutes before their scheduled speaking time. Poster presenters should set up their poster at least 30 minutes before the start of their poster session.
We would like to remind meeting attendees of the no recording policy during the technical sessions. Below are links to the San Francisco 2014 slide cover templates and we ask that you add these slides to your presentations and make an announcement regarding the policy during your session(s). A copy of the policy will be available at the podium and noted throughout the meeting.
For your convenience, we have drafted an Exposition promo slide, and ask that you post the slide during your session breaks. You can download this slide below. We have also developed a general meeting intro slide available below for your use during your session(s). Meeting the needs of our exhibiting companies is very important in maintaining their support to offset the national meeting costs – particularly in suppressing the meeting registration fee.

Poster Session Guidelines
All materials must be confined to:
- 4-foot-high by 8-foot-wide display board in the convention center
- 4-foot-high by 6-foot-wide display board in hotels
Authors must mount their poster during the one hour before the scheduled session start. Poster numbers supplied by ACS will be in the upper corner of each poster board, and this number corresponds with the number assigned to each poster in the technical program. Pushpins will be available at the poster session. Authors must remain with their posters for the duration of their scheduled session as indicated in the technical program. All posters must remain up until the session ends and then must be removed within one hour. ACS cannot assume responsibility for materials beyond these time limits.
SCI-MIX POSTER SESSION ONLY.
Sci-Mix presenters may begin poster setup at 7:15 PM (45 minutes before the session begins). Each presenter may be accompanied by one assistant only, and both people are required to check in before entering the hall. After exiting, presenters will not be permitted to re-enter the hall until the session begins at 8:00 PM.
Technical Session Equipment
Each technical session meeting room will be equipped with the following:
- LCD projector
- lighted podium
- podium microphone or lapel microphone
- laser pointer
Speakers need to provide their own laptops or arrange for specialty equipment directly with their symposium organizer and/or division program chair. To request other specialty equipment (at the standard fee), contact an ACS Operations Office during the meeting.
Projectors use VGA connectors. HDMI connectors are also available in the rooms, if needed. Contact email@example.com if you need further information.
Speaker Ready Rooms
Ensure compatibility with LCD projectors, fulfill last-minute audiovisual equipment orders or rehearse your presentation. Visit an ACS Operations office for room locations and hours of operation.
