The ACS International Activities Committee cordially invites you to take advantage of the International Lounge, a place where you can take a break, hold informal discussions, network with peers from all over the globe, and participate in interactive activities. Location: Lobby A/B, Dallas Convention center.

International Reception - Sunday, March 16

Attend the International Reception on Sunday, March 16 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Sheraton Dallas for complimentary food, beverages, and more! Hosted by the Committee on International Activities, this signature event is for anyone with global interests. Whether you are a student studying from another country, a U.S. citizen who wants to connect with chemists from around the world, or anyone in between! Live Trivia Event

How well do you know the world of chemistry? Participate in a live trivia event with the ACS International Center on Monday March 17, 2014 from 1:00-2:00pm at Expo Hall, Town Center to test your knowledge of the world of chemistry, and enter to win an exclusive prize! Then, at 3:00pm, head to the International Lounge (Lobby C) for a free t-shirt and refreshments!

ACS has members worldwide, many of whom travel to the United States for work, collaboration, or meetings. Find information on obtaining a U.S. visa, the visa waiver program for travelers from selected countries, and what to do if you have visa problems.

Applying for a Visa to the United States

  • Meeting presenters can download a personalized letter.
    - To download a personalized visa letter, log into PACS using your ACS ID.
  • Meeting attendees who are not presenters can access a general visa letter from their meeting registration confirmation.  If they require a more personalized letter, please contact:

Preparing to Attend an ACS Meeting

After you complete the visa application process use the resources for each national meeting to register, plan your travel, reserve your hotel room, and obtain scheduling details. To save money and assure you receive proper accommodations, we strongly recommend that you complete your hotel reservations and register for the meeting through ACS before the deadlines.

All attendees, including speakers and poster presenters, must register for the meeting in order to participate in the technical sessions or the exposition. Attendees must display their badge at all times in order to be admitted to all official ACS sessions and events.
