Richard Williams

Dr. Williams is an environmental scientist with over 25 years of experience evaluating the environmental fate and risks of chemicals and pharmaceuticals for industry and agencies. Prior to his retirement, his roles with Pfizer included chairing the Pharmaceuticals in the Environment Leadership team, co-developing and chairing a Green Chemistry team that authored a U.S. Presidential Green Chemistry Award winning nomination, managing a group that achieved regulatory compliance with worldwide drug registration environmental requirements, and serving on the nanotechnology safety practice network. Today, Dr. Williams serves as an expert to industry and government clients. He has chaired a SETAC team and edited the resulting book evaluating the science for identifying environmental risks from pharmaceuticals, and chaired the PhRMA Environmental Risk Assessment team.
