Biography

Dr. Steven Feldgus earned his B.S. at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and completed his Ph.D. under Dr. Clark Landis at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2000. His research involved detailed study of Rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation reactions. He was a visiting scientist at the University of Western Ontario in 2001 and has lectured at Hamilton College and University of Wisconsin-Madison. During the summer of 1998, he was an AAAS Mass media Science and Engineering Fellow at National Public Radio (NPR) station KUNC-FM, in Greeley Colorado. He produced ten feature-length science stories for local NPR broadcast. During his fellowship year, Steve worked in the office of Senator Jon Corzine of New Jersey. After his fellowship, Steve joined the staff of the House Committee on Natural Resources, Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources.
