Chemistry of Food Science CafÉ: An engaging exploration of the everyday chemistry used in cooking

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., April 3, 2012 — The Cambridge Science Festival will include a Food Science CafÉ featuring Sara Risch, Ph.D., principal in the consulting firm Science by Design, which she founded in 1993. The cafÉ is sponsored by the American Chemical Society (ACS) of which Risch is an active member.

An expert on food and flavor chemistry, Risch works with food, flavor and packaging companies. Her talk will focus on the chemistry of the food and beverages served at the event.
