Nation’s First State STEM Education Caucus holds launch event in Tennessee Legislature

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 17, 2012 — The Tennessee STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Education Caucus will host a launch event at the state capitol here with a discussion about the state of STEM Education in Tennessee. This is the first state level STEM Education Caucus, created to provide an information platform about STEM education for legislators, lawmakers and outside organizations. Speakers at the event will discuss the role of STEM education in the economy, and how the government and business sectors will address it in Tennessee. This event is sponsored by the Tennessee STEM Education Caucus, the American Chemical Society (ACS) and Battelle.

When: Monday, Jan. 23, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
