Kimberly A. Knight
Secretary and Executive Vice President
Kim serves as ACS Secretary, where she leads the development and support of effective governance processes and practices, in partnership with ACS executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
She brings more than 25 years of experience in non-profit governance and association management to her role. Prior to joining ACS in 2024, she served as AARP’s Assistant Corporate Secretary and Vice President for Board Governance and held leadership positions with the American Bar Association. She also served as Executive Director of both the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia (WBA) and the WBA Foundation.
A long-time volunteer leader in the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Kim currently serves on ASAE Foundation’s Development Committee and the Certified Association Executive (CAE) Commission’s Exam Appeals Committee. She first earned her CAE certification in 1999 and has served as Chair of the Commission overseeing the CAE credential. Kim also holds the Certified Meeting Planner credential and has extensive experience in organizing conferences and events for up to 12,000 attendees.
Kim completed most of her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami and earned her B.S. in management and an MBA at the University of Maryland Global Campus.
