Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Respect Advisory Board
What We Do
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Respect Advisory Board (DEIR AB) is charged with supporting the ACS Board of Directors and Committee on Professional and Member Relations (P&MR) in implementing the Society's core values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
The DEIR AB believes in the strength of diversity in all its forms, because inclusion of and respect for diverse people, experiences, and ideas lead to superior solutions to world challenges and advances chemistry as a global, multidisciplinary science.
Who We Are
Our members and liaisons include representatives from the ACS Diversity Committees and Subdivisions, partner societies, executive leaders at ACS, and other consultants as needed. We are involved in both strategy recommendations and supporting tactical execution, with the goal of seeing holistic engagement towards a more inclusive Society and scientific community.

The DEIR AB was established as the central hub for ACS members and governance units working together to build a culture of inclusion within ACS. What this means is we are eager to hear your feedback on how ACS can be more inclusive and help consolidate your ideas and support for collaborations within and external to ACS.
