Chris Chang is the Class of 1942 Chair Professor in the Departments of Chemistry and Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Senior Editor at ACS Central Science. Born in Ames, Iowa, and raised in Indiana, Chris completed his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Caltech, working with Harry Gray, and spent a year as a Fulbright scholar in France with Jean-Pierre Sauvage before earning his Ph.D. from MIT with Dan Nocera and then staying at MIT for postdoctoral studies with Steve Lippard. Along with his wife Michelle and 4-year-old daughter, Chris really likes good food and drink, which he tweets about almost as often as about science from @christhechang.
