Kizzmekia Corbett

Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett is a viral immunologist and senior research fellow leading the Coronavirus team in the Vaccine Research Center of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health. As a 16-year old, she participated in the ACS Project SEED program, which sparked her passion for research. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, before completing a PhD in microbiology and immunology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Corbett joined NIH as a postdoctoral research fellow in 2014.
