Darcy J. Gentleman, Ph.D., works at the American Chemical Society in its Office of Public Affairs as a Manager of Engagement and Science Communications. He manages the ACS Science & the Congress Project, which convenes panels to communicate and educate on science/technology policy on Capitol Hill and elsewhere. Darcy also runs the Chemistry Champions contest, which encourages young chemists to demonstrate and develop their science communication skills via social media and live performance. Additionally, he is a contributor to videos at ACS Reactions.
In his spare time, Darcy reads up on good stories and how to tell them, runs marathons now and again, and uses his expertise in analytical chemistry as an amateur mixologist.
