Doug Dollemore is a Senior Science Writer at the American Chemical Society, and has more than 25 years of experience as a journalist. For the past six years, he has run the "Speak Simply" project, which videotapes members at ACS National Meeting and other Society events. At the NIH, he wrote two award-winning booklets, Aging Under the Microscope: A Biological Quest and Aging Hearts & Arteries: A Scientific Quest. Prior to that, he worked for nine years at Rodale Inc., in Emmaus, Pa. There, he co-authored three books on healthy aging and was a contributor to 16 other health and fitness books.

He also worked at newspapers in Oregon, Arizona and California. His stories have been featured in Prevention and Men’s Health magazines. Doug earned his bachelor’s (Community Service and Public Affairs) and master’s (journalism) from the University of Oregon. Born in Lewiston, Idaho, he now lives with his wife and two children in Silver Spring, Maryland.
