William Halperin

William Halperin

William Halperin is the Orrington Lunt Professor of Physics at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. After earning his Ph.D. at Cornell University, Dr. Halperin joined the faculty of Northwestern as an Assistant Professor and conducted research at Argonne National Lab. He rose to be the Chair of the Department of Physic and Astronomy and then led the Integrated Science Program at Northwestern. Professor Halperin's research is focused on low-temperature physics, NMR studies of high-temperature superconductors, and fluid transport in porous media.
