Jody Puglisi

Joseph (Jody) Puglisi is Jauch Professor in the Department of Structural Biology at Stanford University. Dr. Puglisi has investigated the role of RNA and proteins in cellular processes and disease using biophysical methods including NMR spectroscopy, x-ray crystallography, electron microscopy and single-molecule fluorescence.  He obtained his Ph.D. in 1989 in Biophysical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and is a member of the US National Academy of Sciences. He has served as head scientific advisor to Beyond Meat since 2014, helping to build their R&D approach and team, and has advised food and technology startups in Silicon Valley.
