Terry Kenakin is a director at GlaxoSmithKline Research and Development in North Carolina. Terry obtained his B.S. in Chemistry and Ph.D. in Pharmacology at the University of Alberta, Canada. After three years at University College, London, UK, he joined Burroughs-Wellcome as a Senior Research Pharmacologist. He then went on to join GlaxoSmithKline where he excelled professionally. He has applied his expertise by authoring eight books on Pharmacology including most recently A Pharmacology Primer, Third Edition: Theory, Application and Methods. Additionally, he serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Receptors and Signal Transduction and Current Opinion in Pharmacology.
