Nidia Trejo is a research intern at the Ithaca Waste Water Treatment Facility in New York. She has an interdisciplinary background in textile chemistry, design, nanotechnology, and sustainability. At the University of California, Davis she earned a B.S. in Textile Science and a B.A. in Fashion Design. She received her M.S in Fiber Science at Cornell University. As a researcher, Nidia is interested in helping resolve the water pollution issues within the textile and color industries. She has participated in the ACS Green Chemistry & Engineering workshops and conferences for the past two years.
