What do you love about your job?
I love solving problems that matter to real people. Furthermore, I love working at the interface of chemistry and biology.
What career advice would you give your 18 year old self?
Never lose sight of your dreams, but be aware of how your decisions early in your career will affect your options for career development later in life.
What is your dream vacation?
The mountains or someplace with great hiking. It should be warm enough for short sleeves, but cool enough to be comfortable while hiking. Low humidity would be ideal. Of course, I would hope for some stunning vistas too. Sharing it with friends and/or family would be an important aspect of my dream vacation.
If you had to wear a t-shirt with one word on it for one year, what word would you choose?
If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?
Chocolate Making or maybe dessert making in general.
Ask me about:
Transitioning from grad school into industry, what kinds of career options exist in industry, flexibility in research topics in industry, and key soft skills for success in industry. I love talking with people who are considering the next step and are unsure what options might be possible and how they might get to where they want to be.
