What do you love about your job?
Dual career in medicine and science allowing me to take care of patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and ask scientific questions about its disease pathogenesis.
What has been the most exciting part of your career so far?
Interacting with colleagues and learning from them and my mentors, contributing to the advancement of understanding molecular contributions to Acute Myeloid Leukemia pathogenesis, and having the opportunity to take care of patients.
What would you tell yourself at age 18?
Pursue your dreams, regardless of what the challenges to overcome may be.
How has ACS Scholars impacted your life and career?
The ACS Scholars award was the first grant/scholarship award I received as an individual applicant. This was a great opportunity that created an initial track record for future award applications.
