Maintain Approval
Annual Report
ACS-approved institutions must report the following annually to the ACS Committee on Professional Training:
- Number of degrees granted by the chemistry program
- Gender and race/ethnicity data on all bachelor's degree graduates
- The number of bachelor's degree recipients that completed the ACS approved curriculum (i.e. the number of certified graduates)
- Supplemental information on the curriculum and faculty
The report is reviewed for completeness and consistency with the ACS guidelines and additional information may be requested.
Aggregate data on the number and demographics of recent graduates is summarized and published each year. These data are available upon request.
Periodic Reports
To ensure compliance with the ACS guidelines, approved programs must submit a periodic report about their program every 6 years.
For details on maintaining ACS approval, see the ACS Guidelines for Bachelor's Degree Programs (PDF).
