New members join the committee every year and provide fresh perspectives to the group. Three associate members began their service in January 2023: Laura Anna, Matt Irwin, and Hubert Muchalski. Chemistry Communities of Practice
Thanks to a collection of "communities of practice" across chemistry subdisciplines, instructors are finding new ways to connect and engage with peers online and in person. In addition, they are tapping into and contributing to a wealth of supplemental teaching resources that can make classrooms and labs more interesting, motivating, and relevant for both instructor and student.
ACS Adds Green Concepts to Approval Guidelines
The American Chemical Society’s Green Chemistry Institute's contributions have helped the ACS Committee on Professional Training map new green chemistry requirements for approved bachelor’s degree programs that will go into effect in 2025.
