Graduate School Fair

The Graduate School Fair is a great way to learn more about postgraduate programs, whether you're applying to grad school or simply considering it for your future.

No pre-registration is required. This event is open to all students.

Explore the schools who will be at the fair below. On the afternoon of August 19, you'll be able to talk to the graduate program representatives, participate in a raffle and eat some snacks.

Questions to Ask the Recruiters

Here are some questions you can ask graduate school recruiters to help identify to programs you want to pursue:

  • What types of research are there?
  • What resources are available?
  • How large are the research groups?
  • How much time do you spend as a teaching assistant vs. research assistant?
  • Are there interdepartmental opportunities?
  • Are there opportunities to collaborate outside of academia?
  • What opportunities are available to develop non-technical skills, such as communication or safety?
  • How quickly do students typically move through the program?
  • What is the completion rate for students?
  • What happens to program graduates?
