Internship Description

LyondellBasell's Polymer Technology Center in Cincinnati has world class polymer characterization, physical property testing, and transformation processing equipment, along with broad and deep expertise in the areas of polymer structure/properties, development, and applications.

The assignment would involve working with a cross-functional team on a real-world opportunity. Hands-on experimentation (from design of experiment to carrying out the experimental plan) and data analysis (regression/modeling, as appropriate) would be used to help link polymer structure and properties to end-use application performance for products used in a strategic market within the LyondellBasell North American Polyolefins business. This is an exciting time to work at our polymer technology center. Lyondellbasell is building a first of its kind high density polyethylene plant, and the Polymer Technology Center will have many projects to support the new plant. Projects will include product development, application development, new equipment installation, and test method development. LyondellBasell is looking for scholars who are self-motivated, highly technical, with excellent problem solving capabilities.
