  • Internship Period — 10 weeks
  • Stipend/Salary — $10,000+
  • Additional Support — $2,000 salary advance for relocation
  • Additional Requirements 
    • Candidate must have a reliable form of transportation
    • Candidate must provide for own housing
    • Must attend a four-year university with an ABET-accredited chemical engineering program
  • Eligibility
    • Current sophomore or junior
    • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
    • Minimum GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0)

Internship Description

Opportunities in Trinseo’s Dalton Manufacturing plant include Production Engineering or Improvement Engineering in the Latex Binder Facility.  Latex binders are emulsion polymers formulated for use in carpet and flooring, paper and paperboard, and adhesives/construction materials.

Improvement Engineers apply technical skills to design and implement plant improvement projects, optimize plant operations, and aid in troubleshooting plant problems.

Production Engineers act as a technical resource for Operations personnel, applying technical skills to manage the manufacturing of plastics and latex products, optimizing plant operations, resolving plant problems, and enabling reliable production of quality products.
