Instructions for letter writers:
Thank you for supporting your student(s) by writing a letter of recommendation for their ACS Bridge Program Application. The complete application package will be circulated to selected institutions committed to improving the diversity in chemical science graduate programs.
In your letter, please be sure to discuss any contributions that the student has made in research, their coursework, why they deserve to become an ACS Bridge Fellow and continue onto graduate in pursuit of a doctorate in the chemical sciences. In addition, every letter must be written on your institution’s letterhead, contain a copy of your electronic signature, and be in a ‘PDF’ format.
There are three routes of submission.
- You are able to drag-and-drop your letter directly onto the “Box Widget” (left) for automatic upload.
- You are able to reply directly to the email that you were sent with the instructions for letter writers. (Your return email must originate from your institutional email address.
- You may send a hard copy via the postal service to:
