Lloyd Ryland Outstanding High School Chemistry Teacher Award
Purpose: To recognize, encourage, and stimulate outstanding teachers of high school chemistry within the California Section of the American Chemical Society.
Eligibility: All current high school teachers who teach or have worked within the California Section for at least five years are eligible. Retired teachers are ineligible for nomination.
Nominations: The section will be seeking nominations for the annual Lloyd Ryland Outstanding Chemistry Teacher Award by March 31 each year. Please contact the CALACS office (www.calacs.org) for more information and the nomination form.
The award includes a $500 cash award to the chemistry program of the recipient’s school, a $500 cash award to the teacher, and a subscription to the ACS’ ChemMatters magazine.
