Outstanding Achievement in Middle-Level Science Teaching
Purpose: This award recognizes outstanding achievement in science education through the motivation, stimulation, and encouragement of an awareness and understanding of the sciences.
Eligibility: Nominees do not have to be ACS members. The nomination must come from a Midland Section ACS member. A nominee must be a resident of the Midland Section area (Bay, Midland, Gratiot, Saginaw, Isabella Counties) at the time of nomination and must not be a winner of award category in the past 10 years.
Nominations: Requirements and content recommendations include the following:
REQUIRED:
- At least two supporting letters from colleagues (which state why the nominator feels the nominee is deserving of the award (with specific supporting examples given).
- Resume (or equivalent)
RECOMMENDED:
- Publications and Patents list (where applicable)
- Additional letters of support from students, parents, community members, administrators (as appropriate)
