ACS Community Recognition Grants

The American Chemical Society recognizes activities at the community level and provides grants to support programs that advance the public’s understanding of chemistry.

  • Local Section Science Café Mini-Grant
    Grants of up to $500 are available to assist Local Sections in hosting a Science Café in their community.
  • Local Section Members Engaging Through Technology (METT) Grant
    Grants of up to $2,000 are available to assist local sections to harness technology to fully engage their current membership and enhance their member recruitment efforts.
  • Local Section Bridging-the-Gap Mini-Grant
    This grant program has been discontinued. Complete a summary report for a project previously funded by this mini-grant.
  • Local Section Sustainability Programming Grant
    Grants up to $500 are available on a rolling basis to enable sustainability programming within your local section.
  • Local Section Innovative Project Grant
    The Local Section Innovative Project Grant (IPG) encourages local sections to conceive and implement innovative projects.
  • Technical Division Innovative Project Grant
    The Technical Division Innovative Project Grant (IPG) encourages technical divisions to conceive and implement innovative projects.
  • Student Chapter Grants
    Active ACS Student chapters are eligible to receive grants to support various activities, projects and events.
  • ACS Senior Chemists Committee Mini-Grant Program
    The ACS Senior Chemists Committee (SCC) will offer a limited number of grants to local sections that wish to sponsor an event or activity that will increase the engagement of senior members.

 

Next Deadline: Local Section Innovative Project Grants

Local Sections can apply for Local Section IPGs for the spring cycle by January 15 or by June 30 for the fall cycle.
