Guidelines for Accepting an ACS-Hach Grant
We are excited that you will be accepting the ACS-Hach High School Chemistry Classroom Grant. In order for us to send your grant funds, we will need for you to do the following:
- Determine the fiscal agent (e.g., your school, school distrcit, foundation, university, or organization) and the contact for this fiscal agent that will receive the grant funds on your behalf and will disburse the funds in accordance with the purpose of the grant. We cannot send it to you directly due to IRS regulations.
- Request the fiscal agent to provide a completed W-9 and Authorization for ACH forms. This form must be completed in order for ACS to distribute the funds according to the the IRS regulations. We will not be issuing paper checks, funds will be distributed electronically only. We can work with fiscal agents to arrange an one-time direct deposit if they typically accept paper checks. The acceptance form contains the instructions and link for the materials to be submitted.
- Review and obtain the appropriate signatures of your ACS-Hach High School Chemistry Grant Award Letter. This letter provides the terms of agreement for accepting the grant. It must be signed by the a school official and you.
- Submit all documents via your acceptance form. The acceptance form is on the same system you used to submit your grant. Use the same login credentials to access the system. The acceptance form is where you will upload your award letter and enter the contact information for your fiscal agent. We will not be able to begin processing your grant funds until all of the required information has been submitted via this form.
Make sure that you complete the acceptance form as instructed and press the "Submit" button. Allow up to 3 business days for us to confirm receipt and up to 4 weeks from this confirmation for us to process your grant funds.
