What do you love about your job?
I get to use cutting edge technology, perform clinical research, and take care of cancer patients at some of the most vulnerable times in their lives
What has been the most exciting part of your career so far?
As a radiation oncologist I get to cure cancer and/or ease suffering as part of my daily job. That's pretty exciting stuff.
What would you tell yourself at age 18?
Seek as many mentors as you can find, play more basketball, study abroad.
How has ACS Scholars impacted your life and career?
The ACS Scholars program allowed me to go to college and focus on my academics. As an undergraduate studying biochemistry I learned how to think like a scientist and approach learning with a "why" attitude instead of a "memorize" attitude.
