Preparing for Employment in a Global Workforce (IAC)

Panelists will reflect on the impact globalization has had on the chemistry enterprise. Attendees will learn how to be prepared for working in a global industry, how to be resilient to changing conditions, how to leverage global talent, and about emerging technologies and careers. This symposium will convene leaders from ACS, EuCheMS, and the European Union, and industry to discuss the current state of chemical employment worldwide and provide context for the future.

Designed to be an intimate networking opportunity, this event take advantage of this meeting’s Washington DC location to invite ACS members to mix and mingle with members of the Washington Science Diplomats corps.
International Welcoming Reception (IAC)

The International Welcome Reception brings together ACS members from all over the world in a larger kick-off to the ACS Fall national meeting. At this meeting, the International Welcome Reception will be immediately followed by the “Chemistry Rocks! Concert,”, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of National Chemistry Week outreach program and the NCW 2017 theme of geochemistry.
