ACS and the Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) recognize that there are many issues of societal and global significance that need solutions and real action by individuals, organizations, and governments.

ACS and SCI offer certain membership benefits to each other’s members. These benefits make it easier and more affordable for members of both organizations to exchange thoughts and to attend meetings and symposia.

Elements of the ACS/SCI partnership include:

  • Discounted registration rates to many of each other’s meetings and symposia
  • Reduced-rate access to each other’s on-site conference rooms and offices around the world
  • Online networking communities (ACS Network)
  • For selected other activities and products (such as Short Courses, e-learning, ProSpectives conferences) ACS offers “preferred non-member rates” to SCI Members.
  • Use of the ACS Member Lounge.
  • SCI has made its business center and business lounge available to ACS Members at their headquarters facilities in London.

Global Innovation Imperatives (Gii) fosters innovative solutions among both societies’ memberships to imperatives of global significance (e.g., clean water, food and health, etc.).
