U.S. EPA Green Chemistry Challenge Awards

These distinguished annual awards recognize outstanding chemical technologies which incorporate the principles of green chemistry into chemical design, manufacture, and use. The awards are sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention in partnership with the ACS Green Chemistry Institute®, and other members of the chemical community including industry, trade associations, academic institutions, and other government agencies.

ACS Award for Affordable Green Chemistry

This national award, sponsored by Dow Chemical Company, recognizes outstanding scientific discoveries that lay the foundation for environmentally-friendly products or manufacturing processes at a cost comparable to or less than that of current technologies. Each year, nominations are due November 1st.

Green Chemistry Research Grants

The ACS GCI Pharmaceutical Roundtable issues several grants each year for academic research into topics such as non-precious metal catalysis, development of greener solvents, and green biomedical processes.

LAUNCH Green Chemistry Challenge

A partnership between NASA, the US Department of State, USAID, and Nike, LAUNCH seeks innovations that leverage or advance green chemistry to transform the system of materials and manufacturing to one that advances global economic growth, drives human prosperity and replenishes the planet’s resources.
