Why We Give: BASF supports the ACS Scholars Program

BASF is a strong corporate supporter of the ACS Scholars Program, which awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority undergraduate students majoring in chemistry-related disciplines. With the belief that “the power of difference drives innovation,” the company leverages the program to support its talent pipeline.

“The ACS Scholars Program connects us to high-potential students, many of whom are the first in their families to go to college,” says Pat Rossman, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer at BASF. In addition to providing scholarships through the program, the company offers mentoring support, job search training and internship opportunities to the students.
