ACS Fall 2022 will be a vaccination-required and mask-recommended meeting for all attendees, exhibitors, vendors, and ACS staff who seek to gain access to the in-person meeting in Chicago.

ACS has partnered with CLEAR to facilitate proof of vaccination.

U.S.-based registrants who complete the below steps by Friday, July 22, will receive their meeting badge/credentials in the mail. Those who complete the process after Friday, July 22, must pick up their badge onsite in Chicago. 

Steps for Vaccine Validation – U.S. Based Registrants

Step 1

After you register for ACS Fall 2022, please use the link in your registration confirmation email and enter your mobile number to receive an automated text message with a link to download the CLEAR app from your device app store. 

Step 2

Enroll or verify your identity in CLEAR. You will need a government-issued photo ID and good lighting to take a photo of yourself.

Step 3

Enter your ACS Badge ID in the app, which can be found in your registration confirmation email.

Step 4

Confirm your Know Before You Go in the app.

Step 5

Add your vaccination record to the app.

Step 6

When your screen turns green, your identification and vaccines have been verified and confirmed.

International Registrants

Registrants located outside of the United States or anyone registering onsite will complete the vaccine verification process in Chicago upon arrival at the McCormick Place Convention Center or Sheraton Grand Chicago - locations and hours listed below. Please be prepared to present your photo identification and COVID-19 vaccination record for visual confirmation by entry staff. Upon verification, you will proceed to the registration area to print your badge or register for the meeting.

Health Pass Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Is CLEAR HIPAA compliant?

    We are not collecting or processing any information that is covered by HIPAA.  Neither ACS or CLEAR (the maker of Health Pass) are a “covered entity” under HIPAA rules.

  • Is my data secure?

    CLEAR’s comprehensive security program meets the highest standards for data protection and privacy. CLEAR will always act responsibly to protect your data and keep it secure. Any information provided is used only to deliver seamless and secure services.   • Who has access to the data we submit?

    Your health information will only be utilized to generate a red, green, or amber Health Pass for screening purposes. A venue will only receive the color of your Health Pass and will not receive any of the underlying information unless approved by you.

    Admin users however are required to capture, collate, and report that data (or make available for review) for the Health Department if requested.

  • Can all users see each other’s results? 

    No, Health Pass participants cannot see the results of others.
